Billing

How billing works.

Plain rules, no surprises. Everything happens through Herd, who opens the billing portal for you.

No charge until your first meeting is detected. No card needed to start.
We ask for a card at the end of onboarding, before the first reply is sent.
Once the first meeting is detected, your plan starts. Monthly, in USD, through Stripe.
Upgrades apply right away and are prorated. Downgrades apply on your next billing date.
Moving to Starter with more than one client? Herd asks which client stays active. The rest go read-only. Nothing is deleted.
Cancel by asking Herd. You keep access to the end of the paid month, then the account goes read-only and your data is kept.
Only the account owner sees billing. Your clients never do.
If a payment fails we retry and tell you by email and in Herd. After a grace period the account goes read-only until it's settled.

Questions about pricing

Everything agencies ask before handing Herd the inboxes.

No. You can see Herd's first report without one. We ask for a card before the first reply is sent, and nothing is charged until your first meeting is booked.

Each client imported from your sequencers. A client that's in two tools, like Instantly and HeyReach, is merged and counted once.

When your first meeting is booked and detected in a connected calendar or booking tool. Not after a set number of days, and not after a number of drafts.

Then Herd can't see a meeting, so the free period can't apply. Counting your clients and the first report stay free, but before the first reply goes out you'll need to connect a calendar or start a plan.

Starter. It covers one client, your own company, with unlimited mailboxes and LinkedIn senders.

Herd shows the limit next to your client list and offers the next plan. New clients found after that are marked Skip until you upgrade.

Yes. Upgrades are immediate and prorated. Downgrades take effect on your next billing date.

Ask Herd. Your plan runs to the end of the paid month, then the account turns read-only. Your data is kept, and we delete it if you ask.

Neither. You can see your usage, but it's never limited or billed. If you add your own AI key, those calls bill to your key.
